Welcome 2010!

I don't have any cute stories to tell, but I have decided to write more posts this year to document my experiences and feelings. I hope to use this blog more like a scrapbook since my memory seems to going fast! Also I am hoping to purchase a better camera as so I can keep memories and pictures in one place!

So this Christmas break was a good one. Can any break be bad? I did a little bit of organizing, a little cooking, a little reading and a lot of relaxing.

Sarah and I spent one day looking for baby supplies. Cribs, changing tables, strollers, car seats and lots more. We walked into Babies R Us for the first time and were overwhelmed! It was really fun though. We also ate lunch at Calhouns. Sarah has had a rough time these last few weeks with nausea and fatigue, but the cornbread muffins at Calhouns seemed to do the trick for a few hours at least! Sharing the experience of my only daughter's pregnancy is such a joy!

And Matt being home for a few weeks has been fun as well. Not that I see him much, but when our paths do cross we have had some great conversations. It is also a special time in his life. As he is soon to graduate, there is a lot of excitement in his future. Where will he find a job? Will he move out soon or wait a little while? I have enjoyed cooking for him and even doing his laundry. I think it is my last hurrah at truly having a child living at home and I am not in any hurry to let go of that.

Today David and I went to one of our favorite pizza restaurants. I Love NY Pizza is off the beaten path, but totally worth the drive. We also drove to Townsend and visited the Apple Barn. I love holidays and the extra time we have together without the stress of our jobs (expecially Davids!).

I wish everyone who reads this a wonderful 2010 filled with love, happiness and giving. It sure looks like it is going to be an eventful year for the Cole family. Bring it on!
