Why I Love 6th Graders

I have been a little overwhelmed at work the past two weeks, hence the neglect of my blog!

Luckily one of my students came through the other day with a "funny!"

For the first time, brand new sixth graders were given the privilege of lockers at PMS. Which was fine except for the fact that they had to learn how to manage combinations locks! You would not believe how difficult some found this to be.

One student in particular was having a hard time. So I told him to write down the directions and take it with him during the day, and if he had free time, to practice opening his lock. So at the end of the day he came to see me. He was really frustrated. He had not been very successful.

So as the buses were being called during dismissal, and I was standing out in the hall, he passed me and said...

"I left a note on your desk."

I went back in to find this....


I guess he thought I could tutor him over the phone!
