Florida, Friends and Fun

I had to start the post with this picture. It is Terry's Erkyl impression. We see it frequently!!

So as a last minute summer vacation we flew to Orlando to visit our dear friends, Laura and Terry. We got up Saturday morning and drove to Mosquito Bay at New Smyrna Beach to kayak. We had so much fun. We shared the water with at least two dolphins! It was amazing. I wish I had pictures of them or even pictures of us in the kayaks, but I was afraid to take the camera with me in case I capsized!

This is the bay that we kayaked in. The first thing I saw in the water were those little snakey fishey things. I tried to look up exactly what they are but I could not find them. I just knew that I did not want to swim with them.!

After we ate, we drove to the beach to walk a little.

I still cannot wear any makeup because of the eye infections. So I am not loving the pictures of me! I don't know what I am going to do yet about starting school next week...

On Sunday we took the boat to a lake and enjoyed a great picnic and boat ride.

Thanks Laura and Terry for the perfect getaway weekend! The food was great. The accomodations were luxurious. But most of all relaxing and catching up with dear friends was priceless. Now it is your turn!! How about a ballgame in the fall??
